Kaiser Steel Corporation sponsored the Richard family to immigrate, as a Pellet Plant Supervisor to Eagle Mountain, California in 1964.  Maurice A. Richard created Marco Power Group LLC in 1987 to acquire a Hawaii project, Puna Geothermal Venture (PGV) from Amfac, Dillingham and Diamond Shamrock.  PGV, a first of it’s kind, Tribal and Renewable 25mw Geothermal project has been successfully operating since 1989.
